As a source of motion, a conveyor belt is one application where the belt is adapted to carry a load continuously between two points. See the diagram below to find out how altering the sizes of the pullys effects the speed of power transmission.
There are three main types of belt drive in use Straight witch simply drives the attached pully, reverse wich drives the attached pully but reversing the direction of the driven pully, and angled wich translates the drive power to another angle by aligning the driven pully differently from the input pully.
