CAM Keyholder / Multitool Project

Design Brief:

Your client wants to produce a multitool that can be machined from aluminum and/or steel.

The tool must fit onto a 60mm X 40mm piece of metal, have multi tools and a key holder section.

Task 1: Investigate the design solution

Produce an investigative page that shows existing products and explains the key features and functions of them.

Task 2: Sketch 5 or more different design solutions to the design brief.

Use freehand sketching techniques to produce posssible design solutions making sure to add suitable annotation with enough detail to explain each feature and function of the tool.

Task 3: Decide on your best design solution and then use formal drawing techniques to produce a 1:1 'final' design drawing making sure to add annotation and precise dimensions.

Task 4: Using your final drawing to help you use Solidworks to produce a CAD model at 1:1 scale.

Task 5: With your tutors guidance produce an orthographic drawing of your design making sure to include all dimensioning, hatching and any production notes.
