Task 3: With a qualified professional go through the Portable Power Tools assesment to understand how a risk assesment can be properly completed.

Task 6: You will now demonstrate safe use of the pilar drill to your paired collegue and then they will demonstrate safe use of the equipment in return. Your task is to act the part of instructor for this task.

Practical Topic: Introduction to cutting, filing, shaping, beating, drilling.
Quick design task: Sketch out some ideas for a Nautilus themed copper or brass pendant.
Consider limitations of the available tools, materials. The ergonomic, and aesthetic values of the design.
Annotate your design with dimensions and notes on how you plan to cut and make it.
Practical task 1: Mark out, cut, bend, beat and file a brass or copper metal piece no bigger than 150x60mm into a Nautilus design suitable for a pendant using available materials & tools.
Practical task 2: Use your skill on the pillar drill to set up the correct bit, preform the necessarry safety checks and then drill out a hole to hang the pendant by.
